The staff is friendly and caring. Dr. Nelson is the same way. My husband and I both go to him. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Nelson is a great cardiologist. I'm alive today because of Dr. Nelson and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a cardiologist. During a routine visit Dr. Nelson found blood clots and sent me to a hospital where additional clots were found in my heart and lungs. After three days in the ICU I was visited by the doctor that removed my clots. The Doctor said that had it not been for Dr. Nelson finding the clots and sending me in to the hospital I could have passed away had one dislodged.

left leg issue. insisted I needed procedures on right leg as well ( no symptoms in right leg). after left leg procedure, it got worse, swollen, painful and the swelling was increasing. came back. told him, he "found" other veins in my right leg he said needed fixed "before" they became an issue and one large vein opened in my left ( where the PAIN was). I go into op room, THEY DID MY RIGHT LEG that had no symptoms!!! I was referred to an ortho doc for a very expensive MRI to be told the is a large varicose vein Dr Nelson had missed???
went back for another procedure. I do not trust this doc.
Went to Stern Carido for a 2nd opinion. was told I had multiple unnecessary procedures in my right leg. Was given Vasculaera to help with swelling - Dr. Nelson never even told me this med existed!! I felt like nothing to him but a dollar sign, am out $4000 and for no good reason. Would not refer anyone to him....ever

Yes, they were informing me of new advancements that were extremely recent

Not at all, they were one of the kindest, most attentive individuals I've ever met

They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. I met him because I had a stroke and he was called in from the emergency room. All I can say is that if it had not been for Dr. Nelson I could have ended up in a nursing home. I owe him my life. Bless him and his staff.

Immediately! They gave me a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in

I've been to several cardiologists in the past; all of those experiences were frustrating or downright awful. Then a good friend mentioned a great experience that she had with Dr. Nelson. I can't begin to express how impressed and relieved I was! He explained everything in easy to understand detail, was extremely knowedgeable and best of all had a great bedside manner. I wish all physicians were like him!
