Most definitely not an expert on "Aspergers" or any Autism. Neurofeedback is a pyramid scheme that bankrupts parents as it magically is STILL not considered therapy but experimental in the world of insurance. Our child is permanently scarred and has PTSD from his experience with this highly unprofessional "expert" and his revolving door of staff. After all these years, I have no idea how he's still in business. I feel so deeply sorry for the children that are subjected to this company. Parents, there are actual resources out there to help your family; this isn't one of them, in our opinion.

Absolutely no stars. Dr. Ellis is extremely unprofessional and condescending. He doesn't care about the patient at all and will not let you finish a sentence. He comes off as someone who will diagnose you with ADHD or Autism in the first 5 minutes of seeing you, even with no proof. He pushes his neuro treatments and after he "sells you" on them he tells you insurance doesn't cover it and it will cost you thousands with mandatory several treatments a week. His staff is always changing and they don't seem to know what is going on with the clients. Dr. Ellis is also apparently very comfortable always cancelling, leaving, and handing his clients off to others! He is a waste of time and money. I would spend my time with someone worth the money.

Awful. Not only is Dr. Ellis incredibly unprofessional but the staff is rude. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Ellis showed promise, I had found a phycologist who not only specialized in ADHD, but, He himself suffered from ADHD. I was excited to speak w/ a professional about ADHD, as I had been diagnosed late in life with this specific disorder. Finally, someone I could relate to, and uncover some of the secrets of this disorder. Our first meeting, we covered the basics, then he told me I could cure my ADHD and get off medication, with the help of Neurofeedback. I WAS SOLD! I hate taking pills and couldn't wait to be rid of them. Our next meeting would be the start of Neurofeedback mapping. Unfortunately, life reared it's ugly head, and I wasn't going to have the funds to pay for the Neurfeedback. I would be able to afford it in the future, just not at the time of our appointment. I called the office, told them of the change, and kept the appointment, just a talk session this time. During our session, I became emotional, and questioning my mind, before ADD medicine had made me feel normal. Dr. Ellis, didn't have much to say, I was handed a form; 34 Strategies to Improve your Attention Span. I was also given a handmade relaxing stone, and told that this therapy had been around for 3,000 years. Dr. Ellis asked me if I wanted to continue therapy with him or the councilor in his office. I told him, whatever worked for him. He says: good I will hand you off to the councilor for the emotional stuff. I felt worse than when I arrived. Not only did I feel like Dr. Ellis wasn't interested in my emotional welfare, I was being passed off to a subordinate for the "emotional stuff". I also felt like, if I had been able to afford the Neurofeedback, I wouldn't have been so easily discarded. My finial thought; Dr. Ellis seems to be interested in money, more so than talk therapy. He also has a habit of lying, telling me he is the only Neurofeedback specialist in this area. When I researched this bit on info, I found many phycologist in this area that do Neurofeedback, and at a lower rate. HMMM!?!

Stay clear of this guy. He ripped us off.
He's very unprofessional and not very effective at all.
There are many that are afraid to speak out against him. Do not go here.
Our experience is a very bad one and if I can give zero star I would do that

I have been taking my family member here for treatment. Can not say enough in the improvement he has made with his treatment. Dr. is very good with children. Very professional and caring to both patient and family.

The biggest nightmare of my life. Extremely unprofessional and condescending. He was frightening and my son was terrified of him. He interrogated my son and caused him emotional trauma. If you are thinking of having your child see him, please, please reconsider. No child should be subjected to him! I would give him zero stars if the system would enable it.

Would you refer this provider to a family or friend?
No
Did the environment feel well thought out with a holistic approach in mind?
I believe they tried to provide a holistic experience but they missed it in several areas.

I heard he was the best around BUT he was very unprofessional. We had the worst experience there.
I hope families seek out real professionals as this guy was a joke.
I should have asked more questions when people stated he was best. Maybe they have not been to other true professionals. What a waste of money. Now I am with an expert and we are doing well

He was excellent! It sounds as if there were some bad experiences with the staff. I'm sorry to here that. I saw him for over 6 months. He is a wealth of information and it is clear he is an expert on Asperger's.
