Most knowledgeable physical therapist and massage therapist that I have ever met. Extremely detailed evaluation, careful and complete treatment and explanation of my condition and cause of my pain. Easy to schedule appointments online and very reasonable rates. Who could ask for more? Highly recommend!

I am seeing Joel for a torn rotator cuff, Occipital Neuralgia, and poor posture. I’ve only had two sessions but each time I leave I feel so much better- with more noticeable flexibility and reduced symptoms. He is extremely knowledgeable and he will not treat you if he doesn’t believe he is a good fit.
Looking forward to my next visit. For me, given the length of time I’ve been dealing with things, it may take a while to fix me up.

I had a series of sessions with Joel after a long recovery from Rotator cuff surgery and after my physical therapy sessions had run out. Since I had continued stiffness, pain, and limited motion in my right shoulder- my hope was that Myoskeletal massage would provide additional relief and range of motion improvements - and it did! In fact, the relief and progress in range in motion, due to Joel's efforts, was well beyond my expectation. Joel was phenomenal in his analysis of the areas that needed massage, and equally so in his medical massage techniques. As a result - I would highly recommend Joel to anyone needing first level relief or even in my case, requiring the next level of care for difficult to treat patients.

Over the past two years, I have had "workout" injuries from doing what I was always able to do in the past! I tried several different approaches to heal the injuries and then prevent future recurrences. I went the traditional and non-traditional route to find answers. Nothing helped. Then I found Joel. He's not your typical spa massage therapist. He's a Master Myoskeletal Massage therapist, a highly skilled problem solver and communicator.

I was stunned that he requested any X-rays, and other reports on my current issues. He then read them, analyzed them, interviewed me, did his own assessment of my and figured out what was causing my pain. He not only worked on the problem areas, he told me exactly what he was doing and why. He also told me what I could do to help myself. Bottom line: My pain has significantly reduced from feeling pain many times per day to going days (and with some things weeks) without feeling any pain.

I'm an older woman so my issues are mostly age related. Yet, I'm able to continue my activity level, workout, travel, etc. without pain.

I highly recommend Joel.

The therapist was extremely professional and well groomed. Mr. Kouyoumjian is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He took the time to educate me on my condition and why it was causing me pain. He explained every step of the therapy and theory behind the techniques he was using. I have made great gains under Mr. Kouyoumjian's care. This is no ordinary massage! With all of his specialized training, this is much more clinically based - very "problem solving" oriented.
