About 10 years ago I took my dog to this vet after he was hit by a car and they tried to save him supposedly. What I realized after was the strange look in his eyes was bleeding on the brain and he should have been put down immediately so to end all suffering but instead I believe they "tried" so as to charge me more. So yesterday, 3/12/15, my girlfriend found a kitten in the parking lot of the shopping center they are located in. The kitten was clearly hurt, could not walk, was dragging itself. She asked them for help and they refused unless she took financial responsibility. She was told they don't take strays. Do you really want to take your pets to a veterinary practice that's more concerned with your money than compassion for your animals? There are many reputable vets in that area. Fortunately we took the kitten to the vet down the street. I signed release papers to that vet and they will care for the kitten who had a fractured pelvis and a broken leg. Nice going Reisterstown 24 Hour Vet. I wouldn't bring a rabid racoon to you.

My old dog was in pain and I only wanted to talk to a vet to see how I could make him more comfortable until I could take him in for a visit. A very nice receptionist took my number and said she would talk to the vet. She promptly called back letting me know that since they had not seen my dog in over a year they could not help me. They would have to see him before they could talk to me. Now I have an old dog in pain without the vet taking a second to try and help. It would not have taken more than one minute of their time but obviously that was just too much for them. This is the kind of response that prompted me to find another vet to begin with.
