This veterinarian was extremely friendly, and paid attention to both me and my pet. They really made the extra effort to make us feel welcome and at home. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. We have 2 bulldogs and will travel the 90 minutes from Hastings if our pets need any major procedures. The staff is very compassionate, knowledgeable, and helpful. We highly recommend this business.
Our family's dog has been a patient of the Columbus Small Animal Hospital for the last 3 years, She has been well taken care of here. The entire staff has been very kind, considerate and compassionate with our dog. We have utilized their health care, boarding and grooming services and We are very greatful for all that they have done for us!

Best Care Around!
Dr. Ann Kramer and Dr. Stephanie Wesley took on the challenge of creating a prosthetic leg for "Pretty Boy" a mature male peacock who lost his foot in an accident and was destined to a painful, lingering death. Dr. Ann consulted a zoo to reseach a method to replace his leg. With the use of a fishing rod two years ago, Pretty Boy enjoys a quality life and behaves like a normal peacock fanning and walking normally. He brings joy and amazement to everyone who sees him. Thanks to their creative surgery and compassion a life was saved. I am so grateful to the staff and the Drs. at Loving Our Work for their understanding with an exotic animal as well as my other pets. They went above and beyond!
Highly recommend Columbus Small Animal Hospital. We owe our dogs life to thier knowlege, determination, and care very compassionate staff. Hands down the best you are ever going to find in the community.
The Doctors and staff at Columbus Small Animal Hospital understands just how important pets are to a family. The compassion they have is very comforting. We experienced that compassion firsthand after our Golden Retriever was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2011. They helped us make his last 3 months as painless as possible. When the cancer progressed to a point where medicine was no longer effective, it was then that Dr. Ann performed acupuncture on him. Because of her, we were able to enjoy one last Christmas with him. When the time came to say goodbye, they were so kind. We also experienced the same care and compassion for our Guinea Pigs. They are very knowledgeable with exotic pets and they treat all animals the same, no matter the size. We have since adopted 2 new Goldens and we wouldn't trust their care to anybody except Columbus Small Animal Hospital. From the helpfulness of their staff to the professionalism of the Doctors, we know our furry family members will always be in good hands.
~Amazing Customer Service ~ Excellent Pet Care~ Knowledge combined with TLC~
I can't begin to express my gratitude to Dr Kramer for her wonderful care and acupuncture skills. My dog was suffering from leg/ back pain and weakness. She was becoming more and more depressed from the loss of function. From the office staff to Dr Kramer I am impressed!! Gentle patient kind care was the focus of Natalie's first acupuncture - cool laser treatment. She was immediately in better spirits and by the next day I saw a 50% increase in her activity level. After the 2nd visit even more improvement. I drive 65 miles one way to Columbus Small Animal Hospital, every mile is worth the outstanding gentle care. Relaxing Calm Surroundings &Reasonable pricing.
