For the many families that have wandered through those halls, sat patiently in the rooms or dropped something off for the staff or guests you know the minute that you walk in that the staff cares.....you can tell that they care not only because of the job that they do but because of how extremely grateful the patients and the families are that they have been able to be a part of something so genuine. Each and every staff member I have ever approached has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. I did not know what to do without them in 2000 when I lost my Nana and I especially don't know where I would be without them today now that my Mom is there. It is such a difficult time in everyone's lives and they have proven time & time again that there are absolutely angels here on earth because they work at this amazing little piece of heaven just before Heaven! Thank you so much Hospice House Staff & Volunteers....every single thing that you do every single day of the year is absolutely appreciated! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

My dad was extremely fortunate to be placed at the Hospice House in Concord about 3 weeks before he died. It was so nice for him compared to the noise and lack of privacy in the hospital and nursing home. At the Hospice House, he received the warmest, most loving care by the staff and volunteers. The facility has beautiful views, spacious, clean, quiet single rooms, and his meals and medications were tailored to his needs. Off the entry is a huge, warm, open concept fireplaced living room and dining area, and full kitchen where family members were offered coffee or tea and usually some sort of home-made dessert. There was a playroom for kids downstairs and a special room available for family to stay overnight, if needed. As it is on the grounds of Concord Hospital, it was also easy for the priest there to visit. Placing my dad in hospice was a difficult decision for me to make, but a necessary one. And no, a hospice house wasn't the same as being home, but it definitely was the next best thing, where we knew he would get 24/7 care and we could stay and visit 24/7, too.
