THEIR STAFF IS HORRIBLE! IT HAS A VERY BAD SMELL. THEY LET THEIR PATIENCE STARVE - On Sept. 26, 2015, I visited Westside Health Care and there was lady in the same room as my friend – the lady was begging for food she was so skinny - she looked like she was dying, she ask my sister could she get her something to eat, because the staff refuse to feed her. One of the heavy set nurses indicated that she’s always begging for food.

And another patient under their care – the nurse had undressed her in front of everybody and then they placed her in a wheel chair naked (without any clothes on) and rolled her down the hall – she was yelling! – asking the nurse to put her on some cloths, but they refuse too.

Also, my friend has indicated that they dropped her on the floor and caused her to break her knees and they refuse to give her any kind of therapy.

Also I seen a man locked to a wheel chair yelling for help - indicating that he need to use the bathroom and no one responded to him.

I went to visit a friend at this facility. He claimed it was better than the last place Kaiser had sent him to previously.

The first thing I noticed was upon entering via the front door on Fairfax there is no one there, just a bunch of locked up rooms. A sign directed me to the second floor. I took the old elevator and exited to a frightening spectacle. I checked with the nurses station as to my friends room number and signed in. Scores of patients can be seen in the hallways in wheelchairs unattended. My friends room had three beds, very dark, very uninviting. This was not better than the previous facility and in fact more depressing. When leaving I entered the elevator and pressed the button to go down. The door closed, the elevator started moving then stopped I'm guessing between floors. I hit the buttons several times before it started moving again and then the door opened on the first floor. This place should be closed down immediately. How any hospital or any family member would leave their love one here is very questionable. Many years ago my grandmother was moved to a facility ran by Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. It was in fact nicer than the hospital it self. The difference between Hollywood Pres. and this hell hole is black and white. I surely would check myself out the minute I arrived no matter if I had to crawl to the bus stop to get out of there.

It's old, nursing staff not so friendly, and the smell not so good BUT the THERAPY is top notch! The therapist are really great at what they do.

I read the reviews and thought it was going to be great place. but to my shock, its over crowded smelly, and the staff stands around when there is things to be done. the beds are old, the staff is not to polite. its seems like a fire hazard to have so many wheel chairs in the halls while tripping over and weaving through them. basically, the reviews do not meet the conditions.

My Mother went in on a Monday afternoon. When she got to her room at first she said it was nice. That evening she was calling saying she was cold and had asked the nurse for another blanket. I call and ask the nurse to bring a blanket but the nurse never brought the blanket to her. Tuesday she was so cold she had to wear her coat and sleep in her coat. There was no hot water or nor any towels. Thursday morning about 6 a.m. my mother was calling saying she wanted to go home that she couldn't take being there any longer, and would we please come and get her NOW! While she was there she saw a woman that was sitting in a wheelchair fall out the seat it was almost a hour before anyone knew that this was on the floor. She ended up going to the hospital. The lady daughter was in the office when this was going on. Myself I wouldn't put my worse enemy in a place like this let alone a dog. PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVE ONE IN THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
