My father is at the Shelby Nursing Center right now for post stroke rehabilitation for speech and physical therapy. Brooke is excellent. I found the facility to be clean and the staff is in general very polite and striving to provide care for some difficult patients. Like with all service professions, it is much more likely you will receive good service when you treat your provider with respect and consideration. Our father has primarily had that good care. Some staff are not as compassionate and are just perfunctory but there are some very excellent people here too. If the family is involved in a positive helpful way then the care will reflect that.

Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. Their typical response "We have no beds available" even after 3 weeks latter, would not recommend this place to a vet not alone a friend.

I didn't have a bad experience, but it could/should have been better.. The facility is clean & welcoming.. They strive to maintain a professional appearance and look their best at all times. They have a good professional reputation. They don't always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. Although I have seen them apologize for some mistakes it doesn't happen very often. One attending doctor (Dr. Marsheh) doesn't read the patient charts thorough & has made serious pharmaceutical oversights. There are several aides who don't provide timely or quality assistance. I've seen patients wait 30 minutes to be fed (food is cold by then). I personally waited 20 + minutes for assistance after call light was turned on. They have falsely recorded that a shower was given -- when in reality, it was a sponge bath. Patient's hair was washed with a wet towel & shampoo while seated in her wheel chair. Need constant reminders to shave patient & put hearing aids in. Either they need to increase aide to patient ratio or get better (more dedicated) aids.
