St. Joseph Residence (SJR) is the best nursing home I've ever visited/been too. They have a very, very caring staff, they are so friendly. The people in Therapy/Rehab are very kind, they make you feel at home and they really help you heal up, a lot of people go home because they're doing so well, and then they actually miss SJR a bit!
The staff from Activities are very friendly. They make you laugh, and are there for you when you have a tough time. They don't treat you like a number, they treat you like a person, respectively. A lot of times the Activities staff come visit the residents, they play games with them, take them outside, help with an errand, and just chat.
The nurses are very friendly as well, they make you feel at home. They do a lot of favors for the residents, and care about them on a personal level.
The office staff are kind and warming too, the social workers work hard for all the residents to suit their needs.
Overall SJR is an amazing place to work and live, I consider the people there my "second family".

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. The office was easy enough to find. Social workers had all the answers. Their therapy department is fully staffed and I saw people enjoying themselves and getting better. I noticed staff taking time with residents and family members. I even heard a nurse praying with a family member at a residents bedside.
