My dad was there and left after one night when they basically refused to provide care. They changed his wound with out changing their gloves. Yeah. Already used gloves. They didn't respond for requests for help in getting out of bed to use restroom and made him clean up his own mess that he ended up having when they refused help.

My husband of only 4 months has TBI and was supposed to have 24-hour per day care. He is and was left to do whatever he wanted and was left by himself most of the time. I was just informed last night that he and another patient were caught kissing each other. Why was that allowed to happen? Obviously, the patients are not watched 24 hours per day!

My husband, Loo Sargent, also reported that he fell in the bathroom and was forced to try and pull himself up between the toilet and the wall. I called the staff to report it immediately and they did not believe that he had actually fallen. Thank God that I gave him a cell phone so that he was able to call myself and his daughter and let us know that he had fallen. Then, they proceeded to take the phone away from him and send it home with me. I guess the staff doesn't want him reporting anything that goes on there!

What a horrendous place.

Overall, they treated my loved one like a vegetable -- it is not a hopeful place, which you think it would be since it specializes in rehab, supposedly. Ignored call lights for an hour every day. Loved one developed bed sores and infections. Flies everywhere. Carpet filthy. Rooms tiny. I will say that most staff was nice, but always overworked (16 hour shifts). When the state came, suddenly they were fully staffed (got paid an incentive to come in/stay) and did our every whim. What a joke.

If you have a choice, don't send your loved one here. We regretted it and got them out as fast as we could.

This facility has really tried to help my mother. They work hard at scheduling special activities appropriate for a brain injured person. They have special programming and a therapy department that tries all areas before giving up. My mom was very low functioning, but did make progress and now will go to a board and care!! THANK YOU!!

This facility intends to become a premier TBI facility. They say this knowing that they already treat many TBI residents and are not doing a complete job. They have discontinued restorative program so as to demote long time restorative aides working at their facility. Same goes for their TMA's....they no longer have any. Our family member has been at this facility for many years and we have seen management totally screw the residents and employees, simply to assure that they make money. I can not give zero stars so I give half a star. The sad part is that many employees try to do a good job, but are continually left with no help, short staff, etc. The DON seems unqualified and takes out frustrations on staff members.
