The cleanliness of this facility and the overall happy atmosphere is enough to show how great Parker is...not to mention they make the people that walk through their doors feel welcome. My family toured Parker while looking for a home for my mother, it's safe to say she found her home. :)

Parker is an amazing facility with a lot to offer. I am impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the perky and polite staff. The location is also convenient and easy to get to.

My mom has been at the Parker since 2006. She has Alzheimer's and I can't say enough good things about the assisted living care she is receiving. (Note: Wesleyan is not officially an Alzheimer's care facility, but they can work with these patients depending upon what behaviors are going on. Care is based on the individual's needs and abilities, not based on a broad diagnosis.) I've noted how well the residents in skilled nursing are cared for so I'm comfortable with the prospect of my mom moving into skilled nursing when she can no longer manage in assisted living. Shared social areas are beautiful and the dining room is stunning. Mom's private room and bathroom are simple and just right for her. She gets weekly laundry and housekeeping, three meals a day, plus all the benefits of a staff that I can say is outstanding compared to anything I have seen at other nursing homes. Meals are nutritious and generous and residents have choices for every meal which they make from a menu provided daily. Food is mostly pre-packaged and canned types of items that you see in large institutions. Most impressive to me is how engaged the staff are with every patient. The nurses, aides and administrators deal with each resident as an individual, carefully pairing up who will be good table-mates in the dining room, adjusting as needed, encouraging residents to attend events that will appeal to them, etc. My mom actually improved mentally and physically after she moved to Parker.
