The Interim ED was very pleasant, approachable, He was the one directing me to fill-up the application forms, went to inform the DNS of a possible applicant. The NDS did all the interview process and review the Pharmacology exam. The DON appeared very thorough and knowledgeable with her scope of practice. She is simple yet very intelligent with her expectations. The HR was also very professional and thorough. The staffing coordinator was very pleasant and helpful. The receptionist was very helpful, smiling, and kind to residents, family and visitors.
The hallway was free of unnecessary clutters. Visitors or receiving areas is beautiful and tidy.

The wait was absolutely ridiculous. It messed up my entire day. The company is HORRIBLE to their staff and residents, they are a big corporation back east and don't care about us out here. We don't have enough supplies, or staff and the patients really suffer. I hear the union is coming in and that may help the poor staff memebers.

I have to voice my concern about the administrative/business office side of Paloma Blanca in Albuquerque. My mother was there for several years, and for at least 95% of the time I feel that her care was very good. The front line staff seemed competent and caring. However, her last few days of her stay were, in my opinion, not the best. I feel that here diagnosis which was a CVA was not even remotely diagnosed even though she displayed many symptoms of a stroke. In addition, the staff member who supposedly inserted a catheter inserted in her vagina instead of where it should have been placed. I feel that it is quite worrisome that the person inserting the catheter did not know their basic anatomy. My really big problem is with the business office. I was due a refund since she was in the facility. I received a portion of it in a timely manner. I have been trying to collect the remainder of apporox. $699.00 for six months. I call every couple of weeks, I go in to speak with the business office and am told that it's (the check) is not in this week's batch, I told that they will research the matter, on and on and on. This is the only part of my mother's estate that is not settled. I really don't understand the problem. I called again today and once they asked my name I was told that the business manager was not available. I asked to speak with the administrator and was told that he was not available either. I don't know what it will take to get this matter settled short of contacting an attorney!

They are so kind and caring, and they stay open way past their closing time to help anyone who needs them. They wouldn't deny anyone that needed help. I know I can always count on them. They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them. They've never been late to any of my appointments. I've even showed up early sometimes and they've always been ready and prepared.
