Beware of sending your loved ones here --- a sincere message from a Current Resident. Recently suffered food poisoning at New London Rehab, and prior to that found foreign objects in my food. The nurses for the most part are rude, and could care less if you died unless it's on their shift. Insult patients on Medicaid.

Also, beware of your belongings. I had $631 stolen from my wallet a few months back while I was asleep in my room. Underpaid staff frequently goes through your drawers and belongings.

Not only are the staff rude and ignore you half the time, they also don't seem to care at all for their clients. Now, there are a few nurses who go above expectations, but when they aren't there you can expect your loved one to get no attention. I've seen the nurses just leave food next to the bed of someone who can't feed themselves, not even cutting it up or offering to help. You know when someone with memory loss who never swears can remember and call a nurse a b****, then something's wrong. If you have other options, please look into them.

This facility is very large and many staff come through-no one seems to have any updated information about the status of your loved one. When you ask questions you receive a cold, rude tone of voice as if you were inconviencing them. Two concerning situations I witnessed while visiting the facility: the patient received medication in the wrong form and was told in a threatening tone "if you don't take your medicine I will tell your doctor and it will not be good." Secondly, on several occasions, food was cold at the bedside when it was medically noted patient could not feed self. We were so discouraged moved to another facility, much smaller, and not as pleasing to the eye but with wonderful, well informed staff.
