Mission Carmichael is ridiculous. Not enough staff. Not a safe place. Medication mistakes. No phones that the patients can make a private call. Food is atrocious! The ratio of patients to staff is ridiculous! There have been times when the CNAs have had 38 patients each! How is that safe? One night , there was 1 RN for the WHOLE facility ( which has ,I believe,138 beds)! Patients and staff are assaulted by some of the patients. Patients not allowed access to the gym or exercise at their leisure! It's not unusual to see someone in the hall in a diaper alone... Or less! I could go on and on but I think you get the idea!

Yes! They took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.

Yes! It was very unprofessional!

This facility is mediocre at best. Often loud and void of concern by the staff. Our loved one was here for a couple of years. They seem more concerned about inspections and a good rating than the comfort & we'll being of the patiences. For the $7K per month we paid, we expected good care along with quick response to any concerns we may have. If you question the care of your loved one don't expect much more than excuses and double talk.
Our Mother passed a few days after we paid that months $7,000 payment. We have gotten nothing but excuses as to why they can't refund our balance of $4k. At the rate they are going we will probably be in a care home or gone before we ever see the money returned. Don't go to the facility administrator. He will only ignore you and pretend he cares.
