I'm sorry to read such negative comments and hope readers understand there were two parts to Lakeshore Villas - the nursing home and the assisted living areas. The nursing home has closed, but the assisted living is still in operation and I feel is doing a very good job. My mother has been there for several months. She is well taken care of. Her meals are very good. The staff is very friendly to her (and to me). They are attentive to her needs, make sure she is eating, and participating in activities that include mystery rides, water exercise and shopping trips.

The residents are always visiting one another. I went by one evening to visit, and a group was gathered at the front, listing to music. A 90 year old woman with dancing and laughing. Other places I visited either had many of the residents parked in front of tvs or no one was around.

While it is a very difficult decision to move to assisted living, I am comfortable where my mother is and feel that she is content. No place is like home, but I appreciate the care she receives and sense of community she feels there. In addition, I did not feel pressured at all. The sales lady was extremely friendly and professional.

Yes, they listen to all complaints and make every effort to correct the situation.

No, They definitely believe in quality over quantity and allow more than enough time in between appointments

Yes everything was neat and sterile

Absolutely! I knew I was being cared for by an expert!

Definitely! I was shocked and horrified!

Absolutely! They made me feel like my questions and concerns were stupid

No, this provider rarely answers questions over the phone
Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you?
The phone rang a lot and it was really annoying

Not at all, I feel like they're constantly ready to give up on me

I agree with the Patel family. They told it like it is. I couldn't have said it better myself. l have had a lot of experience at Lakeshore Villas over the years. It is the worse that I have seen it in all the years I have been involved there. A lot of the problem is the administrator. The Senior Care Group that ownes Lakeshore Villas doesn't seem to get the message as to what the problem is at Lakeshore Villas. I know this is a business but when the nursing home is getting thousands of dollars a month for each of the residents there, there needs to be care and family members concerns involved. as well. They need to be around more to see what actually goes on there and how the administrator handles things. She is all about "POWER" and not what is in the best interest of the residents. She is very undermining and puts on a front when she is around the residents and family members to make it appear she is a very caring person when she is any thing but caring to family members and residents. It's whats in the heart that counts and she doesn't appear to have one. The way she treats her staff and family members are terrible. It appears she has cut back on her staff to the point her staff can not take care of the residents the way they should due to being assigned to many residents to take care of. The residents are the ones that suffer from this type of management. Since this administrator has been at Lakeshore Villas, there is no continunity in the staff that takes care of the residents that leads to a lot of problems for the residents. Call lights take to long to answer and meals are not served on time. Lakeshore Villas seems to be having so many issues that appears to just get worse and worse since this administrator came on board. I believe Lakeshore Villas would be much better off if this administrator would resign. They are on the Watch List and get surveyed often with no imporvement as of April 2013.

Absolutely not, they are not trustworthy at all

Not really, it wasn't very clean
Was this provider sympathetic to your situation?
Not at all. It was obvious they didn't care about me
Is this provider easy to reach in an emergency?
No. It took me several times to get through.
