Horrible place. Do not bring your loved one here. Mom died here unnessarily. As did her roommate. Management is a joke. Accidents are not recorded nor are they reported to family. Food is horrible. Mom layed for hours in a "wet" bed unattended. Mom had more sickness there than in 27 years with me. No proper attention to hygene of patients. And the list goes on.

We experienced substandard and negligent care for my 91-year old mother at the Brian Center. She fell in the hallway in the afternoon and the staff returned her to her bed. The Brian Center staff notified us of her fall and told us a mobile xray unit had been called to come to their facility to check her. After calling the Brian Center three times inquiring about the status of my mom, we were informed that the mobile xray unit never arrived on their premises. My mother lay in bed for over 7 hours in pain until the staff finally decided to call the ambulance to take her to the ER. We were assured that a staff person from the Center would accompany my mother to the ER since she has dementia and my wife and I were sick with the flu and could not go to the ER to be with her. We never received a status update on her condition in the ER all evening and called the Brian Center in the morning. We were shocked and upset to hear that she had fractured her hip and was admitted to the hospital. The hospital informed us that hip replacement surgery would be required; however, they told us that they discovered she had a severe urinary tract infection and the surgeon would not be able to perform the surgery until the infection cleared. It is apparent that her severe UTI was left undetected by the Brian Center staff while under their daily care and supervision. We are extremely disappointed and upset by the lack of professionalism and expedient care provided by the Brian Center. The Center should be cited for their negligence and lack of exceptional care provided to my mother. If you are searching for a rehabilitation and/or nursing facility for your loved one, we highly recommend that you select another facility in the community other than the Brian Center.

Concerns about cleaniness, minimum waiting period of 30 minutes to change patients wet clothes and bed linens. I have visited this nursing home and seen elderly patients in chairs in hallway close to nurses station sitting there moaning because she was sitting in her own feces.
