My husband is a Veteran with a lot of problems with his legs. He has been in and out of Birchwood this year. We have had lots of issues with other facilities but not with Birchwood. He likes his doctor. The staff is so professional, pleasant and is so helpful with questions. The office has been very helpful with insurance questions. It may be an older building but the rooms are clean and pleasantly decorated. They also manage his doctor's appointments and have people who help him get to those appointments. And - my husband likes their food. We have had a very good experience working with Birchwood.

Things must have changed since my mother was there 5 years ago, because at that time staff was responsive and professional. Food not the greatest. Mom is going back now, and I will be checking things closely to update this review.

The staff is condescending, rude, and just plain hard to work with!
CENAs need customer service training! Jill Director of Staff likes to play the blame game, when really she's responsible for their attitude! In other words I feel like I came here for me, but really I guess I'm here to be an advocate for those who can't advocate for themselves!

My mother was at Birchwood for rehabilitation following knee replacement. I was told that they had specialty rehab and that was untrue. They have a therapist, but therapy was not directed at her knee. We brought her ice machine, which was supposed to be used 5-6 times a day, and on the second day it had never been used. When asking the nurses, they didn't even know how to use it. The nursing staff was vacant and half the time they said they would be back with something for my mother, they never returned. The facility is old and doesn't have a separate rehabilitation side. It smells bad and the staff talks about you as if you aren't even there. Very unprofessional

Somewhat, they didn't want to listen to almost anything I said

Not really. I felt like an annoyance when I asked a question
Did this provider leave you unattended for an extended period of time?
Yes, I was completely ignored for a long time!
Did they follow up with you after your appointment?
No, but they said they were going to!
