I have never visited a hospital as caring as this one. My daughter was admitted with a lung problem. Everyone who worked with her was excellent, from the surgeon to the housekeepers to the security staff. During the 2 weeks she was there I never saw a person with a frown. The hospice staff and the clergy were extremely kind and caring during my daughter’s last days. My family and I were supported in every way. Other hospitals would do well to visit St. Vincent East Hospital and learn how they attract and train their staff. Cudos to everyone in the CVICU and hospice department. You all are super in my eyes. Heartfelt thanks to all.

I was in the emergency room on 5-2-2015 with some pain discomfort .I also told them about a tick bite I recently had and a possible infection in my foot . They were only concerned about my heart as I have had 2 stents in the last 6 years. The heart blood test came back negative for a heart attack. They never checked any other blood work . I came in at apx. 3 pm. At 7pm I told the nurse I had not had anything to eat since the day before and I was hungry and she told me she would find me some food. At 9pm still no food. Also at apx the heart doctor came in and I told him the same thing and he said he would get me something . Soon after this I was transfered to a room. I told the nurse the same but still nothing . I have nerve damage in my neck as well as a right knee that is very painful , only to get over the counter pain medication .This was the worst night I have had in years and the hospital was awful .There is not a reason this type of treatment should happen and I am very upset to say the least!!!!!!!!!

Not at all. They closed early even though they knew I needed help
