The problem is not with Obamacare, but with greed. I would not go to this doctor even if I was near death. A pretty thorough doctor, but one that is dollar driven and not patient health driven. Not Obamacare, but the greed of the medical system in my opinion. All people deserve medical care at a fair price and this practice is not fair to their patients--old or new. Too bad but predictable.

My problem is not with the Dr herself, rather the practice in general. At the last moment, when scheduling an appointment, I found that the practice now requires a $2000 annual retainer for its Medicare patients. They'll even let you pay it out over 2-3 payments!! This amount plus any amounts the patient must pay is egregious. It would be more honest to say we don't take Medicare patients instead of applying this retainer and allowing it to winnow out those who cannot or will not pay this enormous retainer. Thanks Obama!!
