Dr. Helper is among the 10% of American surgeons who use the ANTERIOR method of hip replacement, which has only 1/10th the rate of dislocation, far faster healing, better recovery and better long-term result. I am so thankful that after speaking with a friend who has her hip replaced by Dr. Helper, I cancelled my scheduled surgery here in Alabama and instead flew up to Cleveland to meet with Dr. Helper. Yes, it takes a while to get an appointment with him - but it is WORTH IT. Do the research online regarding anterior vs posterior methods, and you will be grateful you did. I had 4 four-inch pins in my hip for the last 30 years, the result of a broken hip in 1977 and I could barely walk when I got to Dr. Helper. One week ago he pulled those pins and did a total hip replacement. I was out of the hospital in 3 days, and today, after just 1 week, I can already walk better & with less pain than I had before the operation. God bless Dr. Helper!!! .
