VERY RUDE AND NASTY

I brought my daughter to him in the 80s. He was extremely rude to her, even yelled at her, making her cry! I couldn't believe he was a children's dentist. I had to grab her out of the chair and leave. It was a frightening experience that haunts me to this day! My daughter, who is now 32, remembers it as well. I was hoping it was an isolated incident, but I've seen other reviews stating the same experience. It makes me sick to think the children he has traumatized over the years.

My 3 yrs old daughter went there because she started having alot of problems with her teeth. When we went to the back area and Dr. dyer started the process i was horrified at the way he handled her and the whole situation. She was crying and screaming due to the fact that she was scared to death and the only reaction out of him was him hollering at her to stop and calling her a baby and that she needed to stop acting up or he really was going to hurt her. My husband just went off on him and told him that he had no right to be talking to a 3 yrs old like that and that he needed another day job because he was in the wrong line of work. So needless to say we no longer go there....She now has a wonderful dentist who is VERY VERY patient with her and has fixed all of her problems with her teeth but because of what Dr Dyer did to her she is SOOOO scared of any dentist or doctors now. And because of that her dentist now had to actually put her asleep just to fix all her teeth.
So i would stay away from him all together especially if you have very young kids. I just could not believe that a pediatric dentist would act or behave that way to a young child like he did.
