I had been going to West Side Dental for a couple years, with no problems.
One time I had an appointment scheduled, but I had bronchitis, so I had to call (at least 24 hours before, I've always been respectful of giving that much and more for any appointments anywhere. I'm pretty sure I gave WSD 48 hours that time) to reschedule. They put me in for an appointment the following week, but my bronchitis was still bad, so I had to call back to reschedule (again, giving at least 24 notice).
They informed me then that I was kicked out of their practice, for canceling 2 times. I said, but I have bronchitis and am still coughing a lot.
Didn't matter. I was kicked out for being sick and unable to go to my appointments.
Was I supposed to go in, coughing so that there was no way they could have worked in my mouth, and have them say that they can't work on me with me coughing so much???
I called after hours, after the shock wore off and the anger set in. I left a voice mail, using words, I'm sure, like "stupid" "moronic", you know, the appropriate words to describe what they did to me.
Dr Dave left a voice mail the following day saying to not berate his staff.
Well, I believe it is necessary to berate staff, who does something like that. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows what they did was WRONG. If anything, the dds should have apologized for his staff's actions.

Everything with this dental office was great/wonderful/easy, until the dentist sold his business (without notifying patients) and the new dentist moved in. The Covid-19 pandemic certainly didn't help, and it is the WORST time for a child to get an abscessed tooth. My son needed to be seen and have the tooth removed. Because they TOLD him what they were going to do, he panicked and became fearful. The dentist didn't want to deal with him and referred us to a pediatric dentist, sending an antibiotic prescription. Okay, fine. That's when it all went downhill for our family. First, the pharmacist chased me down before I left the pharmacy to let me know that the DENTIST gave the WRONG dosage of the antibiotic and if she didn't catch it my son could have an overdose. She took a week of calling him to try and get it corrected, and he never returned her phone calls. Second, due to the pandemic, the pediatric dentists that take our insurance were either closed or refused to see new patients. So I called West Side Dental back and let them know what was happening and that he needed to be seen by him right away, and that he needed to refill the antibiotic. The doctor refused to treat my son, told me to see a pediatric dentist, even though there are none available at this time. He then said he would resend the antibiotic. My entire family has been seeing this dental office and now we are leaving. I am offended that this man refuses to treat my child because he is scared. This is a serious dental issue that can cause a multitude of problems, and he will not help us. If I were you, I would consider a different office. The previous dentist was kind, gentle, and respectful. This new guy is short, rude, and inconsiderate. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Great experience and super friendly staff. A lot of support and guidance with all procedures. Helped me with insurance and reimbursements. Doctor Dave was great with my two young daughters and my autistic boy. Loved the personal touch and care. Reall a star group and gets my full respect. Ron

Very loving and capable to my autistic daughter in a wheelchair. The doctor helped her transfer to the dental chair. The staff explained all of the treatment needed and took 3 visits to complete care. Great experience and very friendly teamwork!!Wanted to leave 10 star review...you get the message.

awesome teamwork and down to earth straight talk regarding dental care. I was really impressed with the doctor in presenting alternate treatment plans based on my financial ability. Love my 8 veneers and would highly recommend. My kids (age 12 and 10) are now patients and they loved the technology, television in the rooms and Dr David's humor. Jenny

BEWARE. Yes, the staff and Dr. David seem kind and professional. I had been going there for about 2 yrs. Had an appointment for a cleaning but, because I had bronchitis, had to reschedule to following week. I was still coughing a lot so called to reschedule again. I was respectful enough to be sure to give at least 24 hours notice. And thought I was being respectful by not going into office sick and coughing on everyone, HOWEVER, when I called to reschedule the 2nd time they informed me that they were dropping me as a patient because their policy is if a patient cancels twice they kick them out. First of all, I didn't cancel I rescheduled because I was SICK. Guess I should've showed up coughing and have them say that they couldn't work on me since I was coughing every couple minutes. So my experience with staff was that they are, I believe the professional term is, freaking MORONS. Oh and also, I asked them to show me where it states that particular rule in their literature. They said that it isn't a written rule. Really? Then how does a patient know that if they are too sick to go to appointment that through careful review by staff that they will come to the most totally ridiculous and MORONIC decision to drop that patient. THEY OWE ME AN APOLOGY. I DID NOT DESERVE TO BE TREATED AS I WAS.

THIS WAS THE BEST DENTAL VISIT EVER. HATED ASPEN DENTAL DUE TO ($) FOCUS AND DID NOT WANT TO SEE ANY OLDTYME.
