we had an horrible experience! they never had a dentist to look at my childrens teeth besides the first visit and than they waited two months after my daughters appointment to send something in the mail saying that my daughter had a very bad tooth and needed immediate attention, so they sent us to Bangor Childrens Dental Center and the dentist she saw there said HER TEETH WERE FINE, and that she was just teething (getting her 6 year molars) and so after that I was unhappy about that situation so I told them I was switching my -childrens dentist to someone else. SO I filled out and signed a release for the files to be transferred to our new dentist that they were suppose to send THAT day, so fast forward two months and I hadn't heard anything from the new dentist to make an appointment I give them a call and ask if they had received our files and if wee could schedule an appointment now & come to find out they had not even received my kids files yet, so than I call community dental to ask why they had not transferred the files especially being TWO MONTHS later and they tell me VERY RUDELY " oh well, I didn't know what one to send them to cause theres 100s of those in Maine (WHICH IS A LIE AS THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE STATE OF MAINE, NOT 100s) and I didn't want to send them to ALL 100s cause theres a such thing as confidentiality!" well my instant reply is WHY DIDNT YOU CALL ME? and they say they supposedly tried dozens of times both my phone and their fathers (which was a total LIE) meanwhile they know my kid hasn't seen a dentist since and was due for their cleaning months ago but because they hadn't send the files they hadn't been able to.... so now they tell me "well ma'm youll just have to come in and fill out the paperwork again to have us be able to send them!' ...MORAL of the story > DONT GO TO COMMUNITY DENTAL ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT YOUR KID SEEING A DENTIST ( because your kid wont ever see one...just a hygienist) and if your child needs a filling or anything they send you all the way to bangor….they cant do anything there BUT fillings....THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO BRING YOUR CHILDREN AND I WOULDNT RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE!

I brought my 18 month old here because they were recommended by her pediatrician. I wound up being 5 minutes late to the appointment because there is no parking for this office. I had to park on the street about a block down and walk with two young children. The receptionist was so rude to me about being late and said "Wow, you're 20 minutes late" even though I was only 5. He insisted that I should have shown up 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and I asked him why not just schedule the appointment for 9"00 instead of 9:15, Then I tried to explain to him the parking situation and he got very angry and told me that if I was going to argue about being late that I should just go somewhere else. Folks, I've never been treated this badly by any office staff in my whole life. He literally brought me to tears. Rude, rude, rude. If you go there, you'll see what I mean. The hygenist who cleaned my daughters teeth found a cavity and made me feel guilty about breastfeeding her. She told me that I needed to be brushing my daughter's teeth everywhere I went and in the middle of the night after feedings. I felt like asking her, do you even have kids?? Then she said that the tooth would need to be pulled because no dentist would fill it where she was breastfed. She got indignant when I asked her for a referral to get a second opinion. Two months and a GOOD dentist later, my daughter's tooth looks like brand new. (Thank you Dr. Lucier) And, surprise, the cavity was not due to breastfeeding but to a defect in the tooth that caused it to be weaker than the others.
