Dr. Magat and his staff ruined the first half of my pregnancy. I suffered with Hyperemesis Gravidarium and was so sick I could not get out of bed. Dr. Magat made me feel like I was crazy and dramatic. His staff were rude and laughed at me while I was vomiting in his office during one of my apts. They were "grossed" out and didn't offer to help me because "they might vomit too". Dr. Magat made getting treatment for my condition so difficult that I questioned my decision to have a baby all together. I was too sick to transfer my care to another doctor until about 20 weeks. The moment I was able to pick up the phone and call another OB I never looked back. I am happy to report that under the care of another doctor my Hypermesis became controlled for the second half of pregnancy and I delivered a happy healthy and beautiful baby!

Dr. Aaron Magat and his staff have the personality of slugs. During what should be a magical time in a couple's life, they show little to no excitement or understanding of what pregnant woman and their spouses are experiencing. Dr. Magat may be knowledgable but when it came to dealing with a complicated pregnancy, he was the most uncompassionate and least understanding doctor I have ever been to. I suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum and vomited 10+ times a day with 24/7 nausea that prevented me from eating, drinking or functioning. Not only did the office staff publicly laugh while I vomited in the office, but they also made me feel like I was making up my symptoms and being over dramatic. I was told several times that I needed to deal with my symptoms and return to work despite losing 25lbs in the first trimester. I was too sick to advocate for myself or find a new doctor until I reached 20 weeks. The first 20 weeks of my pregnancy was so much more traumatic and upsetting then they needed to be because of Dr. Magat and his staff. Once I was well enough to lift my head and find a new doctor, I never looked back.

My wife and I will never return to see dr. Magat again. In July 2011 my wife texted me and told me those famous words "we need to talk" I'm on the phone thinking did I forget to take out the trash again? "Okay" I responded not really looking forward to it. Later on that day as I wasn't looking forward to this talk my fiancée tells me that she has chlamydia and wants to know who I have been with besides her. Now this is a nightmare to any person who is involved with someone else for a period of time in which you feel the relationship has the key components to flourish to marriage. I instead of getting mad with her and accusing her of infidelity I agreed to go get tested and treated. I go and I'm told that they test, treat and contact you later for the results. So I did so, to get a call four days later telling me that the test results were negative. I immediately call my fiancée and tell her the news and she doesn't believe me and tells me up and down that her doctor (Aaron Magat) was a doctor that would not tell her she had an STD and I wouldn't have it. I decided that I wouldn't make this good news into a bad thing by telling her that she didn't know what she was talking about and I left that subject alone. Until Thursday when my now wife sends me a text saying "Last July I got infected with Chlamydia and went back in August after my treatment then it was gone. Today I get a call from the doctor, saying that I have it again". My first response is "wow, not this again" , now in my mind I'm wondering if she is tipping around with someone else. How could I have been so dumb in marrying her after this happened before. I'm asking myself "why I didn't read the signs". So that night when I returned home I slept in an empty bed as my wife mad with me thinking I was unfaithful cried herself to sleep in the livingroom. The next morning I went to a whole new clinic and again was tested, treated and was told I would be contacted with the results. I told the nurse the situation and she told me to have my wife checked for HPV. So as I'm waiting to leave the clinic I of course inform my wife of where I was and what I was doing. Which she didn't believe, she wanted to know where. I tried to tell her that she needed to be checked for HPV and get a second opinion. She sharply responds defending her doctor telling me that she has been checked for everything. So furious with my wife and really feeling she's playing games trying to catch me in something or her doctor has no idea what I wrong with her and doesn't know what he is doing to this happy home. I take the same two horrible pills I took over a year before that gave me stomach pains, nausea and gas. two hours ago I got a call from the clinic and said that I again was negative for chlamydia. Which I had on speaker for my wife to hear. I trust my wife and if she really had chlamydia at anytime that with all the unprotected sex I have had with her I would have had to have it. Thanks to Dr. Magat a perfectly good marriage could have ended with a false diagnosis not once but twice. I only hope by you reading this that you have a better picture of what is actually going on and if you are in the same predicament that I was in that maybe you should get a second opinion because the truth of the matter is Dr. Magat got it wrong and may have gotten it wrong on your end too.
