I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THIS DOCTOR FOR ABOUT A YEAR WITH MY CHILD. THE STAFF IS NOT VERY FRIENDLY OR COURTEOUS, ALWAYS ABRUPT. THE FEW DOCTORS THAT I HAVE SEEN SOME WERE NICER THAN SOME. SOME WERE ALWAYS IN A RUSH, OTHERS, ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG AFRICAN GIRL, WERE VERY NICE. BUT WHAT MADE US SWITCHED DOCTORS WAS WHEN MY DAUGHTER HAD A HIGH FEVER AT HER DAYCARE, AND I CALLED JONESBORO ABOUT 4PM AND TOLD THE STAFF WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND ASKED IF I SHOULD BRING HER IN OR TAKE HER TO THE HOSPITAL, SHE REPLIED STATING THEY ARE ALREADY BOOKED FOR THE AFTERNOON AND THEY WILL BE CLOSING SOON. MY HUSBAND WENT AND GOT OUR DAUGHTER FROM THE SCHOOL AND CALLED THE NEAREST CHILD CARE FACILITY AND THEY SAID IT WOULD BE A VERY LONG WAIT THEY WOULD ADVISE CHECKING SOMEWHERE ELSE FIRST. SO MY HUSBAND JUST DECIDED TO GO TO JONESBORO PEDIATRICS ANYWAY TO SEE WHAT ADVICE HE CAN GET. MY DAUGHTER HAD OVER 102 FEVER AND WAS VERY LETHARGIC, AS SOON AS HE ENTERED THE DOOR, ONE OF THE STAFF IN THE FRONT TOLD HIM HE CAN'T JUST WALK IN THE OFFICE LIKE THAT, THEY ARE CLOSED. HE SAID WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T WALK IN LIKE THAT WHEN THIS IS HER DOCTOR AND THE DOORS WERE NOT EVEN LOCKED. THEY DID NOT EVEN CHECK WITH THE DOCTOR TO SEE IF THEY CAN MAKE AN EXCEPTION SINCE MY DAUGHTER WAS SO SICK, THEY JUST RUDELY DISMISSED THEM AND CONTINUE TO SAY THEYE WERE CLOSE AND THAT HE SHOULD GO TO SOME CHILD HEALTH CARE. THE STAFF SEEMS TO CARE MORE ABOUT THEIR PAY CHECKS AND GOING HOME THAN ASSISTING HELPLESS INFANTS.

WHEN MY HUSBAND TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED I IMMEDIATELY DECIDED THAT WAS IT, AND WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. WHEN YOU ARE WORKING AT ANY MEDICAL FACILITY PATIENTS COME FIRST. HOW CAN YOU TURN AWAY A SICK CHILD? UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

THEY NEED BETTER TRAINING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I FEEL THE DOCTOR SHOULD BE THE ONE TO ADDRESS THE PARENT IF FOR WHATEVER REASON THEY CANNOT SEE THE CHILD. NOT AS SOON AS YOU ENTER THE DOOR YOUR'E GREETED BY A RUDE REMARK AND PRACTICALLY CHASED OUT OF THE FACILITY.
