I first off want to say that I did not have any bad experiences with Dr. Javate - he is an excellent doctor and delivered my daughter.
My problem is with the other doctors and the new office manager. They don't take the time to treat a patient properly, they spend more time sitting outside of the exam room on their computer than coming in to talk to the patients. They do not ever go over test results with you, over the phone or in office. You have to call most of the time to have them uploaded to the portal to find out the information that you need. And they do not talk to a patient to find out information that they need to properly diagnose. When speaking with the office manager about these issues, I asked her if anything would be addressed - she said no! At least the old office manager cared about the clients and wanted to make sure that they had a comfortable environment.

My primary care physician called to get me an emergency appointment because I had a miscarriage. They couldn't fit me in for another week. So I waited my week, not knowing whether or not I was pregnant, to see Dr. Acosta. I felt that it was wrong to make an "emergency" appointment wait a week. But I was willing because Acosta is my regular gynecologist that I see every year and have always loved. This time was way different! I waited for almost an hour to see him and when he came in he did not answer my questions, he rushed me, and overall I felt disrespected. He had a doctor shadow him and the nurse watch (I hate that the nurse has to watch but I understand and never say anything because I understand that it is for legal reasons). Although I felt it completely unnecessary that he had the other doctor watch. I mentioned it but he did not ask the man to leave. I also felt that he was a lot rougher during this exam compared to my previous visits. I definitely will be finding a new gynecologist.

I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. They are always more than happy to answer my questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. They reviewed my medical history with me to ensure it was correct and they did not to miss anything. They were extremely thorough.

The doctors at the location seem to be competent and I like them, but the office staff are horrible and leave me feeling very dissatisfied to that point that I must seriously consider leaving for another doctor. They have been difficult to deal with over the phone and are not very attentive when setting up appointments or discussing any results. On multiple occassions I have been left confused and concerned over previous visits and in many cases a call with the staff leaves more questions than it answers. Highly disappointing.
