His office may be a bit hectic and chaotic at times. Why? Because he is one of the finest diagnosticians and physicians on the planet so they are always busy. He literally saved my life. I had been to my GP/internist and still felt somewhat punk. I went to Dr E guessing that my allergies might be the cause. He checked my prior blood tests and noted that the lab had missed an important marker. After further special blood testing that Dr E ordered, it was discovered that I had prostate cancer. I had surgery and am now cancer free. I later asked Dr E how he had diagnosed the problem and he said: "It was the gestalt of my symptoms." Oh, he also saved one of my boys' lives by finding a blood clot in his sinuses before a wrestling match. Whatever your sinus, allergy, immunology issues, Dr E is the only one to see.

This doctor’s office is a nightmare.

Every word of the following is true.

I waited two weeks to get in to this allergist’s office for a swollen tongue I’ve had for 5 weeks. Knowing this was a Beverly Hills office I called before I left and asked about parking. I was told there was a public parking structure at Bedford. I left in plenty of time to get there. I drove into BH, which with all it’s one way streets and funky streets is stressful. I find the structure and it is full. All the meters around the building are 1 hour. I drove around the neighborhood but every where you need a permit. After twelve minutes of trying to find a parking space I called the office and said I was trying to find a parking space. A woman on the phone said after I had explained I had been driving around and around, “Well, I guess you should have taken the bus then.” How many of you reading that wouldn’t have been rubbed the wrong way - especially when already frustrated by not finding parking? I asked how long the appointment would be - she said 1 1/2 to 2 hours. So I said “Well, if I can’t find a space for that time, I won’t be able to come in.” She said, “Fine. Tell me your name so I know to cross you off the list.” I started to drive away when I finally saw a 2 hour meter that was free. I got to the office after all that only 4 minutes late. I complained to the receptionist about parking and that I would never be driving back into Beverly Hills. She shook her head in agreement and seemed surprised that I even found a 2 hour meter. She gave me a clip board and told me to fill out paper work. While I was doing so, a woman who I assume is the same one I spoke to on the phone came over and said she spoke to the doctor and since I said I would never drive back to Beverly Hills he’d rather I go some place else. I said I had waited for this appointment for 2 weeks, I have a swollen tongue and he won’t see me? I said I couldn’t possibly be the only person to complain about the parking. She said I was the only one to be so upset about it. I recognized this woman’s voice as the same who said I should have taken the bus. I asked to speak to the doctor. She said she was sure he still wouldn’t see me. She went back to talk to him I heard muffled voices and she came out and said he still wouldn’t see me. I said my tongue is swollen and has been. He’s really denying me care? She said I could go to the emergency room and she told me to leave. As I was leaving I heard a male voice in the hallway. I said, “Dr. Epstein?” She then yelled at me to get out of the office or she would call the police. I said as I was leaving - and I take full responsibility for being wrong here, “You are fat and ugly.” And she said, “And you are a bitch who’s going to die old and alone.” This is the caring office of Stuart Epstein, whom I’ve never even met. And, again, every word is true.
