Like many of my baby boomer generation friends, the 60's and 70's substantially damaged my hearing. After years of having conversations filled with the question "what?", I decided to do something about it. I did a ton of research on line and was disappointed at the amount of negative information there is about the hearing aid industry in general. Many border on just plain old scams.
I checked my insurance company' listing of preferred providers and found Hearing Help Associates in Rockville Centre, NY and made an appointment. Still sceptable, I met with Dr. Romina Seferian. She tested my hearing and asked numerous questions about my lifestyle. We decided that the Lyric 3 hearing aid would be the most suitable.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Dr. Seferian is a phenomenal practioner. The few problems that I've had with proper fit were resolved during appointments made with a 48 hour maximum time frame and I have never waited more than 15 minutes. Hearing sounds that I haven't heard since I was a kid was a fantastic experience. Hearing Help Associates is everything the hearing aid industry should aspire to be. Lewis Breslau, the founder of HHA , has my eternal gratitude for founding an outstanding medical practice that has restored my quality of life in a way I never dreamed possible. These people are just fantastic. With offices all over Long Island, these are the go to people for hearing problems. You won't be sorry.
