Had planter fastitis surgery on my foot on March 20,2015 and till this day I'm still having trouble walking and dealing with severe pain and at times can't walk on my foot .I would never refrera anyone to this Dr

I went to Dr. Pelletier for bunion surgery which was poorly executed. Within 3 weeks he operated on me again to correct the 1st surgery; that resulted in a worse result; 1st he operated on 3 toes; I feel he over-operated. After the 2nd surgery, my big toe was raised approximately 75 degrees and also was projected to the right making it very difficult to wear a shoe. I recently had surgery by another provider @SOS. I think I weent through 2 additional operations due to Dr. Pelletier"s inadequate surgical ability. I feel this has affeccted my overall health sincce I was unable to walk correctly; even with the 3rd surgery, my foot will never be right, but it's likely as good as it will ever be. He created a hammer toe in my 2nd toe because he insisted it needed surgery. I do not recommend him to anyone. A friend's husband also went to him and he removed a toenail w/o giving him any type of anesthesia; I had one removed several years ago by an MD and he had given me lidocaine prior to removing. I saw a lawyer but because I can now walk they didn't feel if I received any compensation it would be more than enough to cover the expense of court fees and an expert witness. Makes me wondder how many others have had bad experience with him. His stitching was also terriblly done with very wide scar left and he took a chunk out of my big toe near the base where it attaches to the foot. Am I bitter about him? You bet I am.

The office is not hard to find and is was clean enough. The wait was slightly long but not too bad. The doctor was friendly and seemed knowledgable but wasn't sure he was really focused on me as an individual. Maybe my problem is very common and he recognized it with out having to look too closely. I felt he rushed through my questions a bit. My big complaint would be the rude older lady at the desk. Not certain, but may have been the doctor's wife. She was beyond rude. I have never dealt with anyone in a professional office that was so rude. Maybe she was having a bad day? However when I had to call back for scheduling on another day, she was still rude. A bad week? The nurse that brought me into my room was very nice. They had a dog running around in the office, which I actually liked. It was cute and didn't bother anyone. I went for a second opinion somewhere else because of my mixed feelings dealing with them. I was given the same diagnosis. Both wanted me to have surgery.

There's a sign on the front desk that says if a patient is 20 minutes late, the appointment must be re-scheduled. After waiting 40 minutes in a treatment room with someone still ahead of me, I had to leave. I was there an hour total at that point. I would have understood if there'd been an emergency, but the doctor's voice carried throughout and I had to listen to his long, involved conversation about fields he'd planted, rocks he'd moved, 800 lbs of fertilizer, and so on. Then he showed the patient he was with family photos and the conversation continued. The patient ahead of me and I could hear every word. Enough was enough.
