The front end staff is incompetent. Left a message several times to schedule a appointment. Never received a phone call. My wife drove up there to schedule an appointment. She scheduled me on one of my days off at 10am. The first appointment of the day. Was told they would be right with me. 45 minutes later after hearing Dr Uphurch giggling with the front end staff, I went to the front desk and see what the hold up was. They said my appointment was at 11am. I told them it was 10am. Apparently they bumped me to 11am without calling me. They mentioned nothing to me when I signed in at 10am. Looking for a new Optometrist-Do NOT call this office. Find another that WANTS your business. There are several others in Mckinney.

I've been coming to Dr. Upchurch for years. For many of those years, I continued to visit him even though his practice was out of network with my health insurance. After a handful of years of finally using optometrists who were on my health plan (who varied from middling to good, but they weren't Dr. Upchurch), I returned to Alpha Optical this year because my new health plan includes my favorite eye doctor. Yes! It felt so good to walk back through those doors. The staff and assistants are friendly and courteous folks and so very helpful. Dr. Upchurch provides an extremely high quality level of care. I feel completely assured of excellent eye care with this doctor.
