Ingredients

  • 2 yellow onions

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 1/2 cups dried lentils, rinsed, cooked, and mashed

  • 3 cups brown rice, cooked

  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

  • 1 teaspoon marjoram

  • 1 teaspoon sage

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered

  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce

  • 3-4 cups water

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Directions

  • Preheat an oven to 350°F.

  • Cook the onions in olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat until golden brown.

  • Meanwhile, combine all ingredients except ketchup in a large bowl. Pour into a greased baking dish. Spread ketchup across the top and bake for 1 hour. Serve immediately.
