Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 cups garbanzo beans, drained but reserving some liquid

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • Dash of salt

  • 1 tablespoon diced jalapeño pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions

  • Pour all ingredients into a food processor and blend them together.

  • When blended, add the reserved liquid from the garbanzo beans and mix until the preferred texture is reached. Serve with vegetables, pita, or chips.
