Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 cups packed light brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3 eggs

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate toffee baking bits

Directions

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F and grease a cookie sheet.

  • In a large bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, margarine, salt, and vanilla extract until well blended. Add the eggs and beat well.

  • In a separate bowl, combine the baking soda, flour, cream of tartar, and toffee baking bits. Add this dry mixture to the sugar and margarine mixture and combine thoroughly.

  • Drop the dough by the teaspoonful onto the cookie sheet, distributing evenly.

  • Bake for 8-9 minutes or until slightly brown. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
