Ingredients

  • 1 pound Yukon gold potatoes, cut into wedges

  • ¾ pound broccoli crowns, chopped

  • ¾ cup shredded Fontina cheese

  • ½ cup nonfat milk, heated

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Using a large pot, bring 1 inch of water to a boil. Steam the potatoes for about 10 minutes.

  • Place the broccoli on top of the potatoes, cover, and steam until both the broccoli and potatoes are tender, about 6-8 additional minutes.

  • After steaming is complete, move the broccoli to a bowl and mash. Add the potatoes, milk, salt, and cheese to the mashed broccoli and continue mashing.

  • Serve warm.
