Ingredients

  • 2 pound ground beef

  • 1/4 onion, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced

  • 1 medium head cauliflower

  • 1 egg

  • 8 ounces shredded cheese, divided

  • Paprika, to taste

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

Directions

  • Preheat an oven to 350°F.

  • Mix the beef and onion and cook over medium heat. Add the garlic, salt, and pepper. When browned, cover the pan and simmer on low heat.

  • Dice and steam the cauliflower until tender and mash to a rice-like consistency.

  • Line a casserole dish with the mashed cauliflower, similar to lining a pan for lasagna.

  • Mix the cooked beef, egg, and part of the shredded cheese and add the mixture on top of the cauliflower. Layer the casserole as desired.

  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese and paprika on top of the casserole and bake for 35 minutes.
