Ingredients

  • ½ pound lean ground beef

  • 1 cup onion, chopped

  • 1 cup celery, chopped

  • 1 cup green bell pepper, cubed

  • 3 ½ cups tomato, diced

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • 2 small carrots, peeled and diced

  • 1 cup uncooked rice

  • 1 ½ cup water

Directions

  • Brown the ground beef in a sauté pan. Drain excess fat.

  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the beef and stir between additions.

  • Cover the pan and bring it to a boil over medium heat.

  • Once boiling, decrease the heat to low and simmer for 35 minutes. Serve hot.
