Giving is even better than getting. I think for those of us who have a passion for making the lives of others better, we're happier for it. To see someone's eyes light up, to just be there.... that raises our own happiness levels so much! In the end, I think it is key to being well.

"Helping" others live a healthier and happier lives is right. It would be nice to be able to see a patient and they achieve healthier and happier just with chiropractic care. I have found that for healthier and happier to happen, you have to reach the person on a deeper level to help them help themselves. It is the only way to true health and joy in life.

Living a healthier is all about making changes in your lifestyle. They have to be small and subtle at first and then get bigger. If one tries to change to much to fast then most likely they won't stick with them and revert back to their old habits.

Simple sustainable changes may be challenging but can make a difference.

Having worked as a wellness nurse helping people with chronic illness make positive changes in their life has taught me each person comes with their unique nature and different people are motivated to act by different means.

Providers take the time to listen to your clients and they will teach you how to help them the most.

Yes...it's many small positive changes that make a big difference in the final outcome. In my online diabetes program (NutriTutor.com), I encourage people to first make the changes that come easy. Those changes, alone, can make a world of difference. The more difficult changes are then less overwhelming and can be tackled one at a time.
