Hi, my friend has a cat who's about 2 years old. She had a sore on her lower inner lip. It didn't protrude, and was pinkish red, almost like a 'zit'. When they took her to the vet, she suggested we change her food, so we did. The sore eventually did go away, but i'm not sure if it *was* the changing of the food. Could it be a type of herpes sore? An immune system problem? A few weeks later this cat and one of her other cats had a sore appear in a round shape, this cat having it on her neck, the other on it's back. The hair looked as though it had been pulled out. Those sores finally went away, but could they have been caused by the same 'illness'? She says the cat 'was not herself', very lethargic while having both the sores.

I would love to give her a start in the right direction in finding out what is causing this.
