I had a stroke back in 05 when I woke up with my whole right side paralized, it subsided within about 5-8 minutes. I did not go to the hospital because i didnt relize it was a strok, i though it had to affect my left side, not my righ side.I went to my doctore for the memory loss as well as confusion and reading, pronouncing problems. My doctor told me I had experienced a stroke. I still have memory problems and spelling problems, especially when under stress. Anyone else had this problem? Any advice? ( I was 46 when this happened).
Thanks,
SerraNicole

Last year my mother-in-low attacked with the same facial stroke. Due to this health problem she was not able to speak clearly. We have consulted doctor immediately and he started treatment very soon to her. Now luckily she is completely recover as before.

The first action should be to activate the emergency medical system in your area (call 911 if it is available). The goal is to get the stroke victim to a hospital as quickly as possible to confirm the diagnosis. An urgent medical decision is necessary in the emergency room to determine whether thrombotic or clot busting drugs can potentially reverse the stroke situation. There is a very limited window of opportunity from the onset of symptoms to when this therapy can be used. If delays occur, the opportunity to intervene is lost.
