I was just wondering if anyone had any really effective home remedies for the common cold, or a recipe to make you feel better?

Regarding frequent cold, one can consume following home made remedies:
1. Boil a glass of water and add 2 cloves of garlic along with little lime juice. Drink it.
2. Add a spoon of turmeric to a glass of boiled milk. Drink and try also to inhale the aroma of the same and consume.
Practice the above for a few days and see the difference.
