About

Monica Landolt White

I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a PhD in psychology. My focus was on understanding intimate relationships from an attachment perspective. I spent the next 10 years working for various non-profits managing and directing research, policy, and programs primarily supporting the psycho-social health of women, children and families.

I realized that rather than focusing on creating change at a societal level through research and policy, I'd much rather direct my focus to those who need change the most--individuals, couples and families struggling with the problems that life throws at them.

As a Therapist, I am interested in working with anyone needing support. However, I am particularly interested in working with individuals/couples facing difficulties becoming parents (e.g., infertility, adoption, miscarriage), post-partum issues (e.g., depression, anxiety, stress and coping), parenting challenges, and relationship concerns (e.g., work-life balance, infidelity and/or divorce).
I work with individuals, couples and families struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, and all life transitions. I have a particular interest in helping women, couples and families deal with post-partum mental health concerns. (This is informed by my own experiences struggling with infertility, finally starting my family at an “advanced maternal age” and dealing with post-partum anxiety.)
