Fusion Eye Care is housed in a beautiful 4,000 square foot facility shared with Fusion Dental Care and conveniently located at the intersection of Creedmoor + Lynn Rd. As soon as you walk in you will notice high vault ceiling, soothing aromas, open floor plan, and most importantly... smiling faces.
Dr. Kiarash Bassiri and his family were drawn to Raleigh, NC for its reputable higher education institutions over 28 years ago. So it seemed fitting that once Dr. Bassiri graduated from high school he would attend North Carolina State University for his undergraduate studies. At NC State, Dr. Bassiri majored and earned a degree in Microbiology with a minor in genetics. It was at NC State that Dr. Bassiri would learn about and grow to love the field of Optometry. Afterall, what’s not to love. Everyone cherishes their ability to see and providing care for the bodies most appreciated organ is a responsibility he knew he would hold to high standards. Immediatey after graduating from North Carolian State University, Dr. Bassiri enrolled in the Penssylvania College of Optometry (PCO), a private college in Northeast Philadelphia, well known for its curriculum that provides students with early clinical experience. His time at PCO included externships at the Eye Institute, the Brooklyn VA Hospital, the Queens VA Hospital, and Village Eyes Optometry in Los Angeles California. Upon completing his Doctorate of Optometry from PCO, Dr. Bassiri quickly returned to North Carolina and began his independent practice in a corporate setting.
Early into his Optometry career, Dr. Bassiri met and fell in love with the woman he would go on to marry, Hoda Imeni Bassiri. At the time, Hoda had recently completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and had been accepted into UNC-Ch dentistry program. As Hoda got closer to completing the dental program, the two of them began envisioning a dream of opening a joint office to provide both Eye Care and Dental Care. Dr. Bassiri knew the local community would be receptive to the idea of having one location that provides two necessary services. Needless to say, the concept gave birth to Fusion Eye Care and Fusion Dental Care. Although separate entities, the business models are based on the same concept: comprehensive, quality care, in a convenient and upbeat environment.
Drs. Hoda & Kiarash Bassiri, have two young boys whom they love and adore, named Kiyan [Kee-yawn] and Ryaan [Rye-on]. Dr. Bassiri enjoys learning about his patients’ children and speaking of his own. During his time off Dr. Bassiri enjoys spending time with his family, working out, listening to music, and traveling.
