Training Education. I completed my graduate training at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now called Sofia University,) where I was immersed in a learning environment fostering self-growth in one’s professional -- and personal -- life. Upon completion of my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, I was equipped with the knowledge and skills to begin making changes in the lives of others.

Behavioral therapy. Helping children on the Autism Spectrum learn life skills, improve social aptitude and decrease self-injurious behaviors was a vastly rewarding experience. Trained in Applied Behavior Analysis and Discrete Trial Training, I was able to assist children and their families effectively manage challenging behaviors to increase the child’s success in school and improve family harmony.

Group facilitation. I furthered my pursuit of helping others through my work at an inpatient treatment center for individuals recovering from substance addiction. I worked one-on-one with clients as well as facilitated psycho-educational and process groups geared toward assisting clients in leading sober and meaningful lives. I particularly enjoyed facilitating creative expression groups and witnessing the tremendous power of creativity in the healing process.

Trauma counseling. I mastered the Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modality to support children and their families through the process of healing from traumatic experiences. An aspect of this work that I found particularly rewarding was teaching my clients and their families relaxation techniques to prepare them for discussing their traumas in a safe environment.

Private practice. I have since transitioned to working in a private practice setting and enjoy my work immensely. In my spare time I like to hike, practice yoga, meditate, read and spend time with family and close friends. I’m currently taking on new clients and look forward to potentially working with you soon.
