I earned my medical degree from New York Medical College ranked #1 in my class as Valedictorian and completed my adult psychiatry residency training at NYU Langone Health/ Bellevue Hospital Center. I serve as Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine where I interview applicants to the medical school annually and am on their Admissions Committee. I am also a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
My virtual psychiatry practice focuses on young adults (20s through 40s) in NY or NJ struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship problems, body image/ eating issues, adjustment difficulties, loss, panic, OCD, insomnia, and the stressful challenges of academic and professional lives. With a warm, practical, and conversational approach to psychotherapy, I prescribe medications gently and only when necessary.
My multiple qualifications by the National Academy of Sports Medicine --regarded as the most respected leader in fitness and wellness certifications --allow me to foster an action-oriented model to mental health integrating lifestyle-oriented coaching on physical exercise, nutrition, sleep, weight loss, yoga, and meditation for optimal wellness.
I also have a special interest in the emotional demands of higher education and have spent several years treating graduate and professional students on the Student Mental Health Service of Columbia University Medical Center.

As an out-of-network psychiatrist, I am *not* in-network with any insurance plans. The full session fee is due on the day of service by credit card, but patients may submit my receipts to their insurance companies to collect out-of-network reimbursement. Depending on the specific insurance plan, up to 50-80% of my fees may be reimbursed.
