Based out of Frederick County, we serve athletes in Urbana, Frederick and the surrounding areas.

At Rehab 2 Perform, we are looking to bring a new standard to physical therapy. The #1 risk factor for injury is previous injury and this fact is one we strive to change. By treating our clients holistically, we will ensure that we not only address the symptoms, but get to the root cause of your current complaints.

Regional Interdependence- a concept that seemingly unrelated impairments in a remote anatomical region may contribute to, or be associated with, the patient’s primary complaint.

As a company, our belief in Regional Interdependence allows us to go beyond traditional, sometimes vague, musculoskeletal diagnoses and allow us to create comprehensive plans that get our clients feeling and moving better than ever before!

In our effort to improve the lives and performance of our clients, our staff has taken advanced level education and training. We realize that it is essential that we not only provide high quality exercises and programs for our clients, but also provide them with the knowledge and resources that impact them far beyond our doors.

Our Rehab 2 Perform clinic in Urbana features:

A private treatment room for initial evaluations and manual physical therapy sessions
Access to a full weight room with dumbbells, barbells and kettlebells
Functional training equipment that includes TRX, medicine balls, VIPR, cable matrix and more
Cardio area with Concept rowers and Air Dyne bikes
Rubberized track and turf area for speed, agility and quickness training as well as running analysis

Rehab 2 Perform will be adding a new physical therapy clinic in the heart of downtown Frederick to offer more athletes a superior option when it comes to physical therapy and performance training. This new facility will also offer a plethora of highly beneficial equipment, open floor space and turf flooring similar to our other location in January of 2014!

Physical Therapy- Rehab 2 Perform offers a holistic approach to physical therapy by taking a systems approach in the evaluation and rehabilitation of our clients. Often times, an individual is experiencing symptoms that can be the result of a dysfunctional area, leading to abnormal movement and compensatory patterns that affect our quality of life. This concept has been termed Regional Interdependence and it is a staple of our physical therapy philosophy at Rehab 2 Perform.

Physical Therapy patients at Rehab 2 Perform are treated utilizing a combination of the following evaluation and treatment techniques:

Comprehensive physical therapy evaluation techniques such as the Selective Functional Movement Assessement (SFMA), Postural Restoration Institute (PRI), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), goniometric measurement and manual muscle testing

Return to Sport- At Rehab 2 Perform, it is our goal to ensure that we not only help patients achieve a high level of function, but decrease their risk of re-injury as well. Our approach to view the individual from a total body, holistic standpoint allows us to ensure that we are not missing anything through the rehabilitation and training process. In addition, our staff is trained in the latest research on return to sport criteria to ensure that our patients meet certain guidelines prior to returning to the field, workplace or other physical activity.

Rehab 2 Perform features the following:

Y Balance Test (YBT) - The YBT is a thoroughly researched way for our staff to determine a patient’s risk for injury, functional symmetry and return to sport readiness for lower and upper body injuries. It is a component of the Functional Movement Systems which includes the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement Screen (FMS).

Hop and Stop- The Hop and Stop Test is a quantitative field test that is designed to measure force production, force absorption, dynamic balance and asymmetries of the lower body.

Single Leg Squat- This movement assessment looks at the individual’s strength, dynamic balance and neuromuscular control and is a common test used to predict ACL injury.

Drop Jump Test- The Drop Jump test is a well-researched movement assessment that looks at the individual’s ability to absorb and produce force. This test is another commonly used indicator of ACL injury risk.

Performance Training- At our facility, we offer sport-specific and age-appropriate strength and speed programs for College & High School athletes. Our mission is to provide athletes with comprehensive training and preparation that dramatically improves Power, Balance, Agility, Flexibility, Speed and Functional, Sport-Specific Strength.
