Michael has been in the mental health field for over 30 years and in private practice since 1992. He treats adult men with a variety of issues and has been trained in numerous psycho therapeutic models including CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement De-sensitization Re=processing), PBS (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor Psychotherapy), Gestalt Therapy, Relapse Prevention Training, Psychosynthesis, 12 step model, Humanistic Psychotherapy, Relational Therapy, TA (Transactional Analysis), RET (Rational Emotive Therapy) and others. He treats men with issues such as sexual addiction/compulsivity, depression, childhood trauma and abuse, relationship issues, marital problems, personality disorders, sexual behavior issues, infidelity, anger issues and cybersex/pornography issues. His belief is that the foundation of successful psychotherapy, regardless of the therapeutic model used, is creating emotional safety, exhibiting authentic positive regard for his clients and genuinely respecting his clients.
