If anyone with Gateway insurance is thinking of seeing this provider, you may want to think twice. As a Registered Nurse I have certain expectations that should be met by health care professionals. The key things to look for are cleanliness, professionalism, respectful, knowledge & a good bedside manner. When I met Dr. Gross it was very clear that she lacked these attributes. I fist saw her in the Pre- op area before my sister had surgery. My sister has a slight learning disability and as I listened to the conversation it seemed that Dr. Gross lacked the skills required to deal with anyone who is slightly challenged. She didn't make an attempt to introduce herself & spoke mainly to the Resident who was with her. She appeared disheveled, had no discernable personality or bedside manner! We spent the afternoon in the Waiting Room and watched as other surgeons came to find families and give them updates on the surgery and the patients condition. We watched and waited, but she never made an appearance! My sister,spent several days in the hospital, but once again Dr. Gross did not show up to check on my sister, assess her wound.....NOTHING!! Perhaps she was trying to say that she wasn't being reimbursed enough money to check on her condition. Perhaps because of her slight learning disability she thought she was at the bottom of the food chain and she was an insignificant person w hi o wasn't deserving of her time. I'm sure that if Gross or someone in her family required surgery they would like to be extended the courtesy of a visit following the procedure. Perhaps she or her family will have the same experience as karma does come around! PATIENT BEWARE!!!!!!!
