Dr. Zak is a board-certified dermatologist and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Tennessee Medical Association and the Nashville Dermatological Society. Trained in medical and surgical dermatology, her primary clinical interests include prevention, detection and treatment of skin cancer, geriatric dermatology, and pediatric dermatology.
Beverly Zak, M.D.
Dr. Zak is a native of southern California who received her M.D. degree at the University of California, San Diego. During medical school, she also completed a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences studying the molecular and biological basis of exostosis formation in Hereditary Multiple Exostoses. She came to Nashville five years ago with her husband and children and completed residency in dermatology at Vanderbilt University.Dr. Zak is a board-certified dermatologist and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Tennessee Medical Association and the Nashville Dermatological Society. Heritage Medical Associates was founded in 1991, when three independent groups of internists came together to form an organization that would be ideally suited to continue to offer quality patient care in the ever-changing health care setting.
