Beyond the interventional approach to pain, Dr. Fink strongly believes in a multi-disciplinary approach; incorporating Physical Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Bio-Feedback, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture and other modalities, as part of a patient’s overall treatment plan. He also works closely with other specialists for diagnostic evaluations and interventions (Spine Surgeons, Rheumatologists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Podiatrists, etc.) or for non-surgical management (Chiropractors, Physiatrists, etc.).
Communication is one of the most vital aspects of patient care. For this reason, at The Center for Headache, Spine, and Pain Medicine, we focus on remaining in touch with the patient, referring physician, and other health care professionals involved in every patient’s case. We take an individualized approach to each patient and, at the same time, are able to efficiently communicate with other health care professionals and insurance companies through our fully automated Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. At the same time, my staff and I place an enormous premium on initiating phone calls, returning phone calls (for example, Dr. Fink is available 24-7 through the UCLA page operator), and getting patients in quickly when necessary.
