Soon after her experience in California she moved back to the Philadelphia area, where she was born and raised. In 2003 she graduated from the Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy (now Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy). Over the last nine years Katie has worked as a massage specialist at a top destination spa and collaborated with several Chiropractors, in the Philadelphia area, to provide top quality Massage Therapy solutions.
In 2011 she launched Evanescence Massage & Bodywork which provides a large range of services including treatment for auto and sports injuries, chronic pain, stress reduction, preventative care, and much more. Her massage style has evolved into a fusion of many techniques that include: Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone, Heat Therapy, Aromatherapy, and Thai Massage. Each session is customized to meet the specific needs of the client for the most beneficial outcome.
One of Katie’s favorite quotes by Maya Angelou is, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Though massage therapy is a physical treatment, for Katie it’s much more profound than that. Massage Therapy is about encompassing the mind, body, spirit and building strong relationships with her clients so she can fully understand their needs.
However, Katie’s evolution as a wellness provider and as a person does not end there. Katie continues to develop her skills as a Massage Therapist through continuing education. She also finds enjoyment in Yoga, reading about Health & Wellness, and Personal Development.

Katie Stroman is a Licensed Massage Therapist and the owner of Evanescence Massage & Bodywork. Her journey began in 1998 when she moved to magical Lake Tahoe, California. During her two year stay, she immersed herself in a health-minded community.
